Salman Khan's Tiger 3 Co-Star Varinder Singh Ghuman Dies At 42 Due To Heart Attack

Popular bodybuilder and actor Varinder Singh Ghuman, who appeared alongside Salman Khan in Tiger 3, has died of a heart attack. He was 42. The tragic news of his demise was confirmed by Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab and Member of Parliament, on Thursday evening.

Randhawa took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared an emotional note in Punjabi, expressing his grief over Ghuman’s sudden passing. “Hearing the news of the sudden demise of Punjab’s famous bodybuilder and actor Virender Singh Ghuman ji has left my heart very saddened. Among those mourning the loss was Parjat Singh, former captain of the Indian Hockey Team. In his condolence message, he wrote, “It’s deeply painful to learn that famed body-builder and actor Varinder Singh Ghuman Ji passed away from a heart attack. He was a devoted vegetarian, built his body with discipline and grace. May Waheguru grant his departed soul eternal peace and give strength to his family to bear this loss.”

According to a report in The Tribune, Ghuman passed away during treatment at Fortis Hospital in Amritsar. A senior doctor confirmed that he breathed his last around 5:30 PM on October 10.

From Bodybuilding To Bollywood
Varinder Singh Ghuman was one of India’s most celebrated professional bodybuilders. He rose to fame after winning Mr. India in 2009 and securing 2nd place in Mr. Asia.

Ghuman made his acting debut with the Punjabi film Kabaddi Once More in 2012 and went on to feature in Hindi films such as Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans (2014) and Marjaavaan (2019). His most recent appearance was in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (2023), where he played a supporting role.

Known for his vegetarian lifestyle and immense discipline, Ghuman had earned global recognition for breaking stereotypes in bodybuilding and inspiring young fitness enthusiasts across India.
