Assam HS Exams 2026: Application Process
SEBA Assam has reopened the form-filling window for the HSLC exam from November
17 to November 20, 2025, with the last date for payment submission being November 21, 2025. Schools that have not yet completed their form fill-up should visit the official website and finish the process within this period. The Board also announced that students who complete the form-filling during this extended period will be considered under the APL category. Heads of institutions are instructed to update the bank details of candidates if they have not done so already.
The registration process for the High School final exam started on October 22. Eligible candidates have until November 25, 2025, to apply. Late applicants will not be permitted to take the exam. A student’s registration number remains valid for five years, after which re-registration will require special permission. Only students from Permitted Recognised Streams will be considered Regular Students. All others will be classified as Institutional Private (I.P.) candidates.
Examinees whose parents earn less than Rs 2,00,000 are exempted from paying the examination and center fees, regardless of whether they attend government or private schools. Additionally, each institution must pay Rs 1000 as an annual renewal fee for recognition and affiliation, as was paid last year. This amount is to be borne by the institution and cannot be collected from the students, the board stated.
