Alia Bhatt Says She Was 'Laughing Loudly' Watching Samay Raina's Latent, Forgot Raha Was Sleeping Next To Her

Alia Bhatt recently appeared on the first episode of Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent season 2. She appeared alongside Sharvari to promote their upcoming film, Alpha. The episode went viral, with over 43 million views on YouTube alone. Now, even the show’s BTS clips are gaining attention online. In one such clip, Alia revealed that she could not stop laughing while watching Latent on her flight.

Alia Bhatt said, “I have only watched Latent, by the way, on my flight. You sent me that episode, which I watched; I was laughing loudly (imitates herself) and, like, not realising Raha is sleeping next to me, with my headphones, disturbing everybody.” Watch the viral clip from the BTS footage here:

In another clip, Alia Bhatt praised Samay Raina’s comedy special, Still Alive, and called it “pure art”. She then asked Samay about how the stand-up special was filmed and edited, saying, “So the special you did in multiple cities around the world—and then you take one version and put it out? So the one we saw was already performed a couple of times?” Samay replied that it was performed 200 times.

Alia then asked how he managed the emotional moments in his set. Samay said, “So what I would do is everything else in that special I would write and think about. Except that one chunk. I never wrote that chunk or thought about it off-stage. I would just do that part on stage and put myself back in that room.”

The comedian added, “I used to think about that room, just place myself in that room and that used to make me cry every time.” He revealed that he got emotional and cried every time he performed the set.

India’s Got Latent season 2 will drop weekly episodes simultaneously on Samay Raina’s YouTube channel and on Netflix. After the success of the first episode, fans cannot wait to see what’s in store for them in the later episodes of this season.
