Mirzapur fame Shweta Tripathi took a trip down memory lane and revisited the time when she filmed the widely acclaimed series. As she returns to Mirzapur: The Movie, Shweta shares a series of nostalgic
pictures, remembering where it all started.
On the occasion of Mirzapur’s seventh Anniversary, the 40-year-old actress recalled her famous character Golu and shared never-before-seen candid moments with fellow stars.
Shweta Tripathi Revisits Mirzapur Diaries
The cover picture featured Shweta flaunting a handwritten poster for her character Golu, while the next one captured a candid moment shared by the cast. In the picture Shriya Pilgaonkar, Ali Fazal, Rasika Duggal, Divyendu and Shweta were seen cracking jokes among themselves and laughing.
One clip showed Ali Fazal carrying Shweta in his arms and swinging her playfully. Another featured the actress flaunting Mirzapur’s name on the front page of a newspaper. Other moments in the thread showed the cast celebrating Mirzapur’s success, giving interviews and highlighting huge banners of the series. Sharing the nostalgic pictures, Shweta wrote, “They had no idea how life was going to change.”
How Did the Fans React?
Fans became nostalgic as they took over the comment section. “Best! Always! Yaha se shuru hua and ab iske bina man nahi lagta,” wrote one fan. “Favourites in one frame,” commented another. “From my end, you will always be recognised as Golu from Mirzapur,” someone else stated while other fans showed excitement for Season 4. Mirzapur cast member Shriya Pilgaonkar also took to the comment section and wrote, “Awww, best days.”

What Do We Know About Mirzapur: The Movie?
Following the success of the Mirzapur series, the franchise is all set to hit the big screens. The shooting was started in September this year in Varanasi. After wrapping up the first schedule, the team has now moved to Jaisalmer for the next leg of shooting. The film stars Jitendra Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Abhishek Banerjee and others in pivotal roles. Mirzapur: The Movie is slated for a 2026 release.
Recently, during an interview with Hindustan Times, Shweta revealed her experience of reprising Golu in the film and shared, “Mirzapur is home. Going back to Varanasi, having chaat and becoming Golu again was just amazing.” She continued. “Love Golu; she has been with me for nine years now. So, to meet her again was awesome.”
