Rashmika Mandanna has been basking in the success of her latest film, Thamma, which released on October 21. While her performance has been widely praised, her dance number Tum Mere Na Huye has also grabbed

significant attention. The actress recently revealed that she shot the song despite having fractured her leg earlier this year.

In a conversation with ANI, Rashmika opened up about what a challenging time it was for her. She recounted that, despite her doctors’ strong advice for an extended rest, she was back on her feet in less than a month. “The doctors had told me three months of bed rest, but I was up and moving around for Chhaava promotions in like 30 days,” she said.

Rashmika Mandanna Said Her Doctors Were ‘Really Pissed’

The actress further revealed that her doctors were “really pissed” at her stubbornness. “Today, when I look at my foot, the shape has changed. But I remember being in so much pain, and I had to shoot the song in that pain as well. We had to shoot the song at the same time,” she said.

However, Rashmika admits that seeing people appreciate the film makes the anguish worthwhile. “At the end of the day, what matters most is the love that people give and the smiles on their faces. That is what it’s all about,” she concluded.

Rashmika sustained multiple fractures in her foot during a gym workout in January 2025.

Thamma: Plot And Cast

The film Thamma, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, stars Ayushmann Khurrana as Alok and Rashmika Mandanna as Tadaka. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the antagonist, Yakshasan, the king of darkness, who threatens their love story. Adding to the excitement, Malaika Arora makes a dazzling cameo in a special dance number titled Poison Baby.

Produced by Maddock Films, the horror-comedy also features Paresh Rawal, Malaika Arora, Geeta Aggarwal and Faisal Malik, adding lighter moments to the otherwise dark narrative. Set in a fictional world, the film weaves a “bloody” love story infused with suspense, thrills and romance.
