Even after more than a month in cinemas, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is still holding its ground, navigating the usual ups and downs that come with a long theatrical run. While newer releases are beginning to crowd the box office, the Ranveer Singh-led actioner continues to gain popularity every single day.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has now completed 36 days in theatres. According to Sacnilk, it earned ₹1.40 crore on Day 36, pushing its fifth-week total to ₹19.37 crore. Overall, the film’s India gross stands at ₹1343.27 crore, with a net collection of ₹1,122.49 crore so far.
The film’s box office journey has been nothing short of massive. It opened with ₹674.17 crore in its first week, followed by ₹263.65 crore in week two. The third week brought
in ₹110.60 crore, while week four added another ₹54.70 crore. As expected, the pace has slowed in recent days, especially with fresh releases entering the market.
One of the key competitors has been Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla, which hit theatres last week and quickly grabbed audience attention. The horror-comedy has already crossed ₹80 crore in its first week, emerging as the current crowd favourite and impacting Dhurandhar 2’s collections.
Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar along with Lokesh Dhar and Jyoti Deshpande. The film builds on the success of its first instalment, which released in December 2025 and earned around ₹1300 crore globally, receiving both critical and commercial appreciation.
The franchise centres on an Indian spy navigating the complex underbelly of Karachi’s criminal and political systems, drawing from real-life geopolitical events such as the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, and the 2008 Mumbai attacks, among others.
The sequel takes the story forward, exploring the transformation of Ranveer Singh’s character into Hamza Ali Mazari and his growing influence in Lyari. It also focuses on his mission to dismantle a terror network posing a threat to India. The film features a high-stakes face-off between Ranveer Singh and Arjun Rampal, adding to its dramatic appeal.
Apart from Ranveer, the film stars R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun and Danish Pandor in key roles.
With a worldwide collection exceeding ₹1760 crore, Dhurandhar 2 has already secured its place as the third-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
