While the Wicked franchise might have run its course, Ariana Grande is living in her Glinda the Witch era. She was recently papped at the AFI Awards in Beverly Hills in a vintage look that perfectly channelled Glinda’s magic and glamour.
The singer, who was styled by stylist Law Roach, wore an archival Vivienne Westwood number dated to the early 2000s.
The pink strapless outfit is actually a two-piece – with a fitted corset bodice, a Westwood signature, that is paired with a matching Chantilly lace skirt with a draped hem.

For some fashion history, the W Magazine reported that this piece actually surfaced publicly at a Kerry Taylor Auctions sale in December 2024, and it was sold for £2,470 (Rs 298,634).
She
allowed the vintage piece to shine in the spotlight by keeping the accessories to a minimum – simply pairing them with minimal white heels and pearl earrings. The only other accessory was her hand tattoos that added some edge to the other petite, pink look.
Even her makeup was the bare minimum – some rosy pink lipstick with her signature winged black eyeliner.
Ariana Grande on becoming a full-time actor
Ariana Grande had in the past mentioned that she is leaving music in order to pursue a serious career in acting. While she may get back to it sometime in the future, she is currently focused on getting roles that challenge her.
In a recent interview with Variety, Ariana Grande got candid about the doubts and trolls she has to shut out in order to take up the role as Glinda the Witch in Wicked and its sequel, Wicked: For Good.
The singer-turned-actor said, “I learnt very quickly that I was going to have to shut it out. “There was a lot of noise saying I couldn’t handle it or that I wasn’t the right choice. But I had a job to do — a really big one. I had earned it, and I needed to give it my entire life and my being.”
While sticks and stones only break bones, words can hurt. So hearing people question if she deserved the role and the popularity that came with it has got to stick.
To this, Ariana said, “Just being proud of myself in the quiet… It can be very hurtful when people question your commitment. So I focus on what’s real. The love I feel. The people I meet. Gratitude is the only thing that reframes it all.”
