India’s most-loved spy thriller series, The Family Man, is all set to return with its third season. After years of anticipation, Manoj Bajpayee returns as the fan-favourite Srikant Tiwari and this time,
he’s not just fighting enemies, he’s fighting for survival. In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Manoj opened up about reprising his role, stating that it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t get stressed anymore.
Manoj Bajpayee explained, “I am not one to take my work for granted. I can’t achieve without working a bit too hard. I am a very nervous person, and I pass on my nerves to my directors. I never think it’s easy; that is the problem. I am panicking all the time. I am nervous all the time.”
Director Raj Nidimoru, who was also a part of the conversation, said, “I caught on to this much later… Because he wouldn’t let this nervousness show. On set, he would crack jokes and be normal. But in his head, he would keep thinking and stressing. I realised it much later.”
Manoj mentioned that for every season of The Family Man, he has sat down with the creators for 20 minutes and understood the beats of his character. “In the initial stages, it is a lot of struggle,” he said. Manoj said that this is the case with all his projects.
About The Family Man 3
This time, Srikant’s mission moves eastward, into unfamiliar terrain and dangerous new territory. Season 3 brings a monumental clash of talent, featuring a high-octane face-off that is already sending fan anticipation soaring- the clash between Manoj Bajpayee’s Srikant and Jaideep Ahlawat’s Rukma.
Jaideep Ahlawat’s antagonist, Rukma, is designed as a dark reflection of our beloved TASC agent. His character presents a threat that is deeply personal and ideologically opposite to Srikant, pushing him to his absolute limit. The combination of a high-stakes mission in the North-East, the return of fan-favourite actors like Sharib Hashmi (JK), Priyamani (Suchitra), and the new formidable challenges posed by Rukma means the new season is poised to be an unmissable spectacle. The Family Man Season 3 streams globally on Prime Video from November 21.
