Pankaj Malhan joins RHI Magnesita India as MD & CEO

New Delhi, Jul 1 (PTI) Refractory player RHI Magnesita India on Wednesday said Pankaj Malhan has taken over as the Managing Director & CEO of the company with immediate effect.

Malhan brings nearly three decades of leadership experience across the steel, manufacturing, industrial materials and infrastructure sectors, the company said in a statement.

RHI Magnesita India announced the appointment of Pankaj Malhan as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 July 2026.

The company’s board also said that Parmod Sagar, who had been serving as Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, will continue as the non-executive chairman of the board.

Malhan joins RHI Magnesita India from Jindal Steel, where

he served as Executive Director. He has also held various roles with the Tata Group, JSW Group, and Vedanta.

On his appointment, Malhan said, “India presents tremendous opportunities for growth, and together we will continue to strengthen RHI Magnesita’s leadership in this dynamic market.” Sagar said that during his 13-year tenure at RHI Magnesita India, he had the opportunity to work alongside dedicated colleagues, stakeholders, and board members, contributing to the growth and success of the company.

“I am deeply grateful for the trust, support, and cooperation extended to me throughout my tenure. I am pleased to continue my association with the Company as non-executive chairman with effect from 1 July 2026, subject to the approval of the Board,” he said.
