PM Modi Changes His Display Picture On 'X' To Mark Operation Sindoor Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday updated the profile picture of his X handle to commemorate the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and several other ministers also changed their display pictures on social media, paying tribute to the valour and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces on the anniversary of the operation.

In a post on X, PM lauded the “fitting response” by the armed forces and reiterated India’s stance against terrorism. “A year ago, our armed forces displayed unparalleled courage, precision and resolve during #OperationSindoor. They gave a fitting response to those who dared to attack innocent Indians at Pahalgam. The entire nation salutes our forces for their valour,” PM’s post on X reads.

“Operation Sindoor reflected India’s firm response against terrorism and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security. It also highlighted the professionalism, preparedness and coordinated strength of our armed forces. At the same time, it showcased the growing jointness among our forces and underlined the strength that India’s quest for self-reliance in the defence sector has brought to our national security.”

The updated profile pictures prominently feature references to Operation Sindoor, reflecting a sense of remembrance and highlighting its significance in India’s recent security history.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces on the operation’s anniversary. He described Operation Sindoor as a strong symbol of national resolve and preparedness, noting that it showcased the forces’ precision, seamless coordination, and ability to act decisively in defence of the country.
