Two children drown in pond in Ranchi district

Apr 4 (PTI) Two children drowned in a pond in Jharkhand’s Ranchi district on Saturday, police said.

The incident took place at Pandra village within Ratu police station area around 4 pm.

“Both the deceased were boys aged seven and eight. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination at a government hospital,” Ratu OC Adikant Mahto said.

Both children had gone to play near the pond, during which they entered it and drowned, the OC said.

An unnatural death case has been registered, he added. PTI RPS RPS MNB
