According to reports, the period biopic drama Eetha is being shot in various parts of Maharashtra. Directed by the Chhaava-fame filmmaker Laxman Utekar, Eetha is based on the life of Vithabai Narayangaonkar, one of India’s earliest Tamasha/Lavni dancers, bringing
to the forefront a powerful, culturally rooted story.

Shraddha Kapoor will portray the titular role, stepping into the life of an artist whose influence shaped folk performance culture across generations. Randeep Hooda will play the male lead and romantic interest, anchoring the emotional core of the story alongside Shraddha’s character. It is worth noting that the makers have yet to confirm the film’s cast.
