Ahmed Khan Credits Welcome To The Jungle Ensemble Cast: 'It Wasn't Me Who Carried The Film, It Was Them'

Director Ahmed Khan’s Welcome to the Jungle is already creating massive buzz for its grand ensemble cast and extravagant production scale. Following multiple delays, the film is all set to hit the big screen on June 26, 2026, and so far, all the released assets have been well received by audiences. Ahead of its grand release, director Ahmed Khan has shared his biggest takeaway from the film.

The ace filmmaker shared, “My biggest learning was that fear disappears when artists believe in a shared vision. Schedules, logistics, and challenges become secondary because true artists always find a way to make the work happen.”

He further added, “These weren’t just actors; they were friends bound by mutual respect and a shared passion for the story. Many

of them were together for nearly 80% of the film, which made the challenge even greater. But the truth is, it wasn’t me who carried the film forward; it was them. Their commitment, trust, and collective spirit became the force that drove the film to completion.”

News18 Showsha recently spoke to the movie’s director, Ahmed Khan, about the film. When asked why the original cast was not retained, Khan shared, “So, the thought was very different. If you see Welcome, it is a film that is regularly made, and there is nothing like a similar cast. Akshay (Kumar) was in the first one, John (Abraham) was in the second one, and now Akshay is in the third one again. So, it was a complete 360-degree turnaround from the Welcome series. So, it’s okay. People keep coming and going.”
