Dehradun, Jun 16 (PTI) The State Election Commission has distributed 94.86 per cent of the total enumeration forms across all 13 districts of Uttarakhand since June 8 in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, officials said on Tuesday.
They highlighted that 13 of the BLOs completed their targets within eight days of the launch.
According to the officials, 7,551,246 forms have been distributed out of 7,960,762 total electors in the state. The distribution exercise is being carried out by a network of 11,732 booth level officers (BLOs).
Champawat district recorded the highest efficiency in the state with a distribution rate of 99.98 per cent — 206,594 forms against its 206,642 electors.
Rudraprayag followed closely with 99.63
per cent distribution. Almora reached 99.40 per cent, Pithoragarh achieved 99.38 per cent, and Chamoli recorded 99.32 per cent.
In contrast, Dehradun registered the lowest distribution rate at 90.10 per cent. Udham Singh Nagar reported 92 per cent distribution and Nainital stood at 93.12 per cent.
The complete district-wise breakdown shows Haridwar distributed 1,319,785 forms out of 1,376,422 electors using 1,715 booth-level officers. Nainital deployed 1,010 officers for 765,135 electors, distributing 712,531 forms.
Almora saw 524,237 forms being distributed by 920 officers; Udham Singh Nagar 1,226,737 forms through 1,464 officers and Pithoragarh 366,634 forms by 611 officers. Bageshwar achieved 96.68 per cent by distributing 206,832 forms using 381 officers.
Champawat operated with the smallest field force of 344 BLOs to cover its population.
In Chamoli, 293,601 forms were distributed through 592 officers, and Uttarkashi achieved 95.12 per cent distribution with 230,964 forms handled by 544 officers.
Rudraprayag used 362 officers to distribute 190,881 forms. in Tehri Garhwal 485,427 forms were distributed by 963 officers, and Pauri Garhwal achieved 98.51 per cent distribution with 546,572 forms handled by 945 officers.
Dehradun deployed the highest number of Booth Level Officers at 1,881 to manage its electorate of 1,376,813, which is the largest electoral strength in the state.
Meanwhile, 13 BLOs from seven districts completed their assigned tasks under the drive within eight days of its launch on June 8, officials said .
These officers, representing Almora, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Dehradun and Tehri districts, achieved 100 per cent form distribution along with the digitisation of data.
Chief Electoral Officer BVR C Purushottam congratulated the 13 officers for finishing the distribution and digitisation work ahead of schedule.
He noted that all personnel deployed for the campaign were working diligently, adding that the prompt completion of work by these frontline workers would motivate other staff members.
The officers who completed the first phase of the SIR exercise include Ramesh Pujari and Pushpa Devi from Someshwar constituency in Almora, Pan Singh Negi from Badrinath constituency and Harish Nainwal from Karnaprayag constituency in Chamoli, and Meenakshi Rawat from Chakrata constituency in Dehradun.
Gabbar Singh, Sangeeta Rawat, and Vijay Bisht from Pauri constituency in Pauri district also finished their tasks within the timeframe.
They were joined by Karn Bahadur Karki and Janki Chand from Didihat constituency in Pithoragarh, Usha Rawat and Nirmala Devi from Kedarnath constituency in Rudraprayag, and Suman from Dhanaulti constituency in Tehri Garhwal. PTI AKY RT
