Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 has recorded its first noticeable slowdown at the box office after crossing Rs 1392 crore worldwide. The dip has become a talking point as the film had been breaking records daily since release.
First slowdown after record-breaking run
After an explosive start and a dominant first 11 days, Dhurandhar 2 has finally shown signs of slowing down. On its second Monday, the spy thriller saw a slight dip in collections — something most films experience much earlier in their run. Despite the drop, the numbers remain strong. The film added Rs 25 crore domestically on day 12, taking its India net total to Rs 872 crore. In gross terms, that stands at Rs 1042 crore in India alone. Globally, the film has now reached Rs 1392 crore, placing it among the biggest Indian
films of all time.

Dhurandhar 2 Still ahead of most Bollywood films
Even with the slowdown, Dhurandhar 2 continues to dominate the domestic box office. Its Rs 872 crore net collection is now among the highest ever for a Hindi film.
At present, it trails only two major pan-India blockbusters — Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2 — in domestic earnings. The film’s second weekend also played a key role in sustaining momentum, bringing in over Rs 170 crore net, which is higher than many films’ opening weekends.
Internationally, the film has performed just as strongly. It opened with a $7 million start and crossed $22 million in its first weekend overseas. On its second Monday, the film added close to $1 million, taking its overseas total to around $38 million. Dhurandhar 2 has become the highest-grossing Indian film in North America, beating the long-standing record held by Baahubali 2.
Eyes on bigger records
With Rs 1,392 crore already in the bag, the film is now chasing bigger milestones. It currently sits behind Dangal (Rs 2,070 crore), Baahubali 2 (Rs 1,788 crore), and Pushpa 2 (Rs 1,724 crore) in the list of highest-grossing Indian films worldwide.
Star cast and franchise power
Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film features R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The sequel released on March 19 and builds on the massive success of the first Dhurandhar, which earned Rs 1,300 crore worldwide and is still running in theatres months after its release.
