Sarvam Maya Teaser Out: Nivin Pauly's Horror Comedy Promises A Hilarious, Spooky Ride

Actor Nivin Pauly is set to bring a dose of laughter and chills to the big screen this festive season. The teaser of his upcoming horror comedy Sarvam Maya, directed by Akhil Sathyan, was unveiled on Saturday,

coinciding with Nivin’s birthday.

The short clip introduces audiences to a mix of humour and suspense. It opens with Nivin’s character exploring an old, traditional house during a stormy night, peeking under beds, checking cupboards, and inspecting every corner to ensure he’s alone. Despite the eerie setting, moments of lightheartedness and camaraderie follow, with glimpses of Aju Varghese joining him for cheerful morning scenes.

Sharing the teaser on social media, Nivin wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Fun, chaos and pure happiness — Sarvam Maya coming your way soon! Get ready to go Delulu in theatres this Christmas. Sarvam Maya #SarvamMayaMovie #Akhilsathyan #Fireflyfilms.”

About the film

Sarvam Maya stars Nivin Pauly alongside Priety Mukundhan, who recently gained attention for her performance in Kannappa. Aju Varghese also plays a significant role. According to production sources, Sarvam Maya was filmed across Ernakulam and Palakkad, with about 30 days of shooting completed earlier this year.

Directed by Akhil Sathyan, son of veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, the film marks another exciting venture for the Paachuvum Albhuthavilakkum director. The technical crew includes cinematographer Sharan Velayudhan Nair, music composer Justin Prabhakaran, and art director Rajeevan.

Nivin had previously confirmed the film’s Christmas release, saying, “The Ghost next door! Sarvam Maya. 2025 Christmas Release.”

About Nivin Pauly

Nivin Pauly is an actor and producer best known for his work in Malayalam cinema. Over the years, he has won two Kerala State Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards South, and several other honours. He made his acting debut with Malarvaadi Arts Club (2010), directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, and rose to fame with Thattathin Marayathu (2012). Known for his charming “boy-next-door” image, Nivin delivered a string of hits including Neram (2013), 1983 (2014), Ohm Shanthi Oshaana (2014), Bangalore Days (2014), Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015), and Premam (2015).

He later showcased his versatility with films such as Action Hero Biju (2016), Jacobinte Swargarajyam (2016), Sakhavu (2017), and Kayamkulam Kochunni (2018), one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films.

As a producer, Nivin launched Pauly Jr. Pictures and backed films like Action Hero Biju, Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela, and Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham—the first Malayalam movie to release on Disney+ Hotstar.

His performances have earned him multiple awards, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for 1983 and Bangalore Days (2015), and a Special Mention for Moothon (2020).
