Ajay Devgn, the actor who made standing on two bikes his signature stunt, first performed it in Phool Aur Kaante. It was the actor’s very first stunt and, with no CGI or cable security available, he did feel that it was “too much.”
Speaking to Variety India, Ajay Devgn recalled the first stunt of his life and shared, “It was the first stunt of my life: standing on two bikes for Phool Aur Kaante. At the time, there was no CGI, no cables, and the bikes had to be coordinated, so it was very scary. I mean, it was not about doing a split, it was about the bikers also coordinating and riding in sync.”
Ajay shares a close bond with Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, but there is one more actor with whom Ajay shared a close bond. He said, “I would say, apart
from Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), Salman (Khan), and everybody, the first film I did was with Amrishji (late actor Amrish Puri). He was a gem of a person. He was somebody very, very senior and older than me.”
Revealing that the late Amrish Puri was the only actor whose feet Ajay used to touch, he said, “The only guy in the industry whose feet I used to touch, but we were like friends. I mean, I could tell him anything, I would rag him, he would get upset with me and then he would come back to me and start laughing too. So, that bonding has always been great apart from all the friends I have.”
Ajay Devgn on the work front
Ajay Devgn is currently busy with Golmaal 5. On the occasion of filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s birthday, the team behind the popular Golmaal franchise surprised fans with an exciting announcement. The fun video was shared by birthday boy Rohit Shetty. It begins with Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, and Tusshar Kapoor celebrating Sharman Joshi’s return to the franchise. But the real surprise arrives later, with Akshay Kumar appearing in a bald avatar.
Ajay also has the third part of Drishyam in his kitty. The Hindi version of Drishyam 3 is moving steadily towards its theatrical release. Abhishek Pathak confirmed that the shoot of Drishyam 3 in Hindi has been completed, with only some patchwork currently underway. The film is set to release on October 2.
