As legendary Bollywood actorAmitabh Bachchan celebrates his 83rd birthday on October 11, the entire Indian film industry comes together to wish the superstar. Among them was actor Jamnadas ‘JD’ Majethia, who shared his memorable experience of meeting Big B.
During an interview with Instant Bollywood, the famed Gujarati actor was seen talking about the varied inspiration Amitabh Bachchan has on his life.
JD Majethia Recalls His Meeting With Amitabh Bachchan
When the actor was asked about Amitabh Bachchan’s inspiration on him, he replied, “Meri Zindagi mai toh bahut inspiration hai unke. Who meri pehli picture dekhne aaye the? Gujrati picture Dariya Chhoru se leke bahut kuch.” Further, he recalled meeting Amitabh Bachchan in Kaun Banega Crorepati.
“Hum toh audience mai baithe the toh waha se audience me se baat kiya, ‘Oh, JD barabara hai?’” JD shared, explaining Big B’s grounded nature and his friendly way of greeting.
JD further shared that he had an opportunity to meet Amitabh Bachchan two days ago but could not go because he was suffering from a viral infection and did not want Big B to get infected. “Mera infection unko na lage isilye main ahi gaya because mai unke swasth ki itni suvecchaye subhkamnaye deta hu toh mai utna dhiyan toh rakhunga hi,” he explained, adding, “I just love Amitabh Bachchan.”

To mark the special day, the actor took to Instagram and shared a throwback collage from his appearance in Kaun Bannega Crorepati. Sharing the glimpses, he wrote, “Every conversation with @amitabhbachchan sir is pure inspiration. His curiosity to learn, hunger, passion to work and humility with all his achievements make him the biggest ever legendary superstar of India. Happiest birthday, sir. JD Majethia on the Work Front
JD Majethia was last seen in Aatish Kapadia’s comedy film Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan alongside Supriya Pathak Kapur, Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai and Vandana Pathak in lead roles. This film was the fifth instalment of the Khichdi franchise and a direct sequel to the 2010 film Khichdi: The Movie. He was also seen in a special appearance in the sitcom Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, the show he is currently producing.
