Pakistan’s T20I captain Salman Ali Agha entered his name in the history books on Sunday (November 23) by breaking Rahul Dravid’s world record of featuring in the most international matches in a calendar
year. The fourth match of the ongoing T20I tri-series, which was played between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday, was Agha’s 54th international match for Pakistan in 2025. He went past Dravid’s tally of 53 international matches for India in 1999.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Yousuf and India’s Mahendra Singh Dhoni also played 53 international matches each in 2000 and 2007, respectively.

In the match played between Pakistan and Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi on Sunday, Agha came out to bat at No. 6 for the hosts and remained unbeaten on 1 run from two balls. He added an unbeaten 28 runs for the sixth wicket with Fakhar Zaman, who remained not out on 27 runs from just 10 balls.
For Pakistan, Babar Azam scored 74 runs from 52 balls on Sunday, and Sahibzada Farhan amassed a total of 63 runs from 41 balls. The duo added 103 runs for the second wicket and also helped the hosts post a total of 195/5, which in the end proved to be enough for them to win the match by 69 runs.
In the bowling, spinner Usman Tariq picked up 4 wickets for 18 runs in four overs. The mystery spinner also picked up a hat-trick for the Men in Green. Tariq is the fourth Pakistani bowler after Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Hasnain and Mohammad Nawaz to take three wickets in three balls of a T20I match.
