Pop sensation Ariana Grande cleared up confusion among her fans about her next music project after making comments that were taken out of context. She confirmed that new music will not be coming right
away. After the interview went viral, Grande stepped up on social media to clarify that she has not set a release date yet and said that juggling all her creative tasks would require “an extra brain and four more arms.”
Grande is currently very busy with her Eternal Sunshine tour, major acting projects, and other creative activities. So, she is at a stage in her career where she will hardly have any time for new record creation.
“Definitely Not” Any New Music Before May
In an interview with Variety, Grande was asked if she planned to release new songs prior to the start of her forthcoming Eternal Sunshine tour this summer. She reportedly stated that there would be “definitely not” any new music before May — a line that went viral among fans, sparking speculation about what might come next.
Grande swiftly refuted some of that story on Instagram, noting that she never specified a month or made any promises about future scheduling. She laughed about the thought of a clone of herself who had the time to create and record another album, writing that the only word she truly said was “no.”
In an Instagram comment on a fan account’s post about the interview, Grande explained her remarks about new music. “Welp I never said ‘but soon enough’ or mentioned any months! lol my goooooodness,” she said.
“All I said was ‘no’ and ‘do they think there’s a clone of me out there somewhere’!” she continued, before adding, “There must’ve been a zoom glitch or something, but hello & love you all.”
In separate comments, the artist jokingly underscored her busy schedule, stating she would need “an extra brain and four more arms” to take on additional creative work beyond her current commitments.

Balancing Music and Other Projects
The ‘7 Rings’ singer unveiled a deluxe edition of her most recent album, Eternal Sunshine, about a year after it was released in March 2024. She has now embarked on a promotional tour for ‘Wicked: For Good’, which debuted in theatres in November 2025.
Alongside her music career, Grande is currently focusing on her acting career, taking on major roles in films and television shows, such as the Wicked series and forthcoming projects like ‘Focker In-Law’ and American Horror Story’ season 13.
