Bobby Deol Has The Sweetest Reaction To Sunny Deol's Batwara 1947 Teaser: 'You're The Best, Bhaiya!'

Sunny Deol’s upcoming film Batwara 1947 has already got fans talking after its teaser dropped. But one reaction stood out from the rest. Bobby Deol was quick to shower love on his elder brother, sharing an adorable message that fans of the Deol family are sure to love.

Bobby took to Instagram soon after the teaser was released and couldn’t stop praising Sunny and the film. Sharing the teaser, he wrote, “You’re the best, Bhaiya! So excited and looking forward to this film. Wishing you and the entire team all the very best. The teaser looks amazing, this movie is definitely going to be awesome!”

Batwara 1947 reunites Sunny Deol with director Rajkumar Santoshi after iconic films like Ghayal, Damini and Ghatak.

The movie is also special because it marks Sunny’s first collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions.

The film is based on Asghar Wajahat’s famous play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai. Set during the 1947 Partition, it tells a story of humanity, hope and sacrifice in the middle of one of India’s most difficult periods.

Sunny will be seen playing Sikander Mirza, while Preity Zinta returns to the big screen with the film. The cast also includes Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh and Karan Deol in key roles.

The project was first announced as Lahore 1947 before being renamed Batwara 1947. Behind the scenes, Santosh Sivan has handled the cinematography, A.R. Rahman has composed the music and Javed Akhtar has written the lyrics.

The film is all set to release in theatres on August 14, 2026, just ahead of the Independence Day holiday.

Meanwhile, Bobby has a busy lineup of his own. After Bandar, which released in June 2026, he will next be seen in YRF Spy Universe’s Alpha. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the action thriller stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead. Anil Kapoor plays an important role, while Hrithik Roshan will make a special cameo. The film releases on July 3, 2026.

Bobby will also play the main villain in Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth. The film is currently awaiting its theatrical release after footage from the movie leaked online a few months ago.

Apart from his films, Bobby is all set to return as the much-loved Baba Nirala in Ek Badnaam… Aashram Season 4.
