Luthra Brothers Deportation In Goa Night Club Fire Case Live Updates:
The Luthra brothers, owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in North Goa, where 25 people died in a fire incident, were deported from Thailand to India on Tuesday. It is learnt that said Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra were seated in the last row of the aircraft, accompanied by four to five officials from Indian authorities and enforcement agencies, to avoid disturbing other passengers.The flight departed from Bangkok for Delhi. The Goa Police will be present at Delhi Airport to arrest the brothers upon arrival at around 1.30-1.45 pm and escort them to Goa, likely by tonight. The Luthras face charges for allegedly operating the club without proper safety permits.
The December
6 blaze, believed to have started during a fire show at the nightclub, prompted an Interpol Blue Corner Notice against them. After leaving for Phuket shortly after the incident, the brothers were detained by Thai authorities on December 11 following intervention by the Indian mission, which coordinated closely with the Thai government.
