Filmmaker Prerna Arora turned a year older on December 9, marking the occasion with a special announcement for her fans. On her 38th birthday, she launched a new collaboration following the humongous success
of her recently produced movie Jatadhara.
After the blockbuster success of her pan-India film Jatadhara, starring Sonakshi Sinha in a pivotal role, has been topping the charts, Prerna Arora is set to add another milestone to her winning partnership with Zee Studios. She has reportedly begun work on her next untitled Pan-India mythological adventure movie in collaboration with the giant production house.
Prerna Arora Announces Upcoming Pan-India Project
This marks her third collaboration with the studio after Rustom and Jatadhara, and it couldn’t have been a better time to announce than her birthday. The upcoming film will be produced by Prerna Arora and Umesh Kumar Bansal, and co-produced by Keerthan.
A viral post on Instagram wishes the filmmaker while announcing her upcoming collaboration. The note atop it read, “Happy Birthday to the visionary filmmaker Prerna Arora.” Fans soon started extending heartfelt wishes, congratulating Prerna on her upcoming venture.
The producer again confirmed the same report by sharing the post on her Instagram stories.

Who Is Prerna Arora?
Daughter of Virender Arora, who founded the production house KriArj Entertainment with Arjun N. Kapoor, Prerna Arora is now an Indian film producer and director. She began her film career by producing the 2016 crime thriller, Rustom, starring Akshay Kumar, Ileana D’Cruz, Arjan Bajwa, and Esha Gupta in lead roles.
Following this, Prerna produced a series of films and music videos every year. However, she rose to immense fame with her commercially successful Hindi films, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), Pad Man (2018), Pari (2018), and Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran (2018). In the same year, she also produced Fanney Khan and Batti Gul Meter Chalu.
Prerna Arora’s Latest Production – Jatadhara
Her strong sense of storytelling with impactful social themes has helped her emerge as one of the most visible young female producers in mainstream Bollywood. More recently, she produced the Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Jatadhara, which is currently premiering on Prime Video after its successful theatrical run. The horror-action-comedy movie, which also starred Sudheer Babu, Shilpa Shirodkar, and Divya Khosla Kumar, did well, earning Rs 5.65 crore at the domestic box office, according to Sacnilk.
The movie, written and directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, was praised for its narrative and visual effects. Produced by Zee Studios in association with Prerna Arora, Umesh KR Bansal, Rajiv Agarwal, Shivin Narang, and Nikhil Nanda, the film marks Sonakshi’s Telugu debut as the antagonist Dhanapisachini.
The film draws inspiration from myths and conspiracy theories surrounding the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala, particularly the mystery of its sealed vaults. It explores themes of greed, sacrifice, and spiritual awakening through a fictional narrative set against the backdrop of ancient rituals and divine forces.
