Loving Husband, adoring Father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, Poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need – in fact, he was everything to me! And always has been through good times and bad. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways, always showing affection and interest in all of them. As a public personality, his talent, his humility in spite of his popularity, and his universal appeal set him apart as a unique icon unequalled among all the legends. His enduring fame and achievements in the film industry will last forever. My personal loss is indescribable and the vacuum created is something that will last through the rest of my life. After years of togetherness, I am left with myriad memories to relive the many special moments…”

Hema Malini And Dharmendra Began Dating
Following this, Hema grew closer to Dharmendra. After working together in films like Sharafat, Tum Haseen Main Jawan, Naya Zamana, Seeta Aur Geeta, Raja Jani, Jugnu, Patthar Aur Payal, Pratigya, Sholay, and many others, they had already made their spot as the “hit jodi” of Bollywood.
As per rumour mills, Dharmendra’s love for Hema was undeniable on the set of Sholay. However, Hema’s parents were completely opposed to her marriage to an already-married man. According to the actress’s biography, Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl, they had even arranged her marriage with another leading star, Jeetendra, in an attempt to steer her away from Dharmendra.
Dharmendra’s Prayer Meet
Dharmendra’s prayer meet will be held on November 27. In a poster that the family released on Wednesday, they revealed that the prayer meet for the actor, who passed away on November 24, will be held from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at a luxurious hotel in Mumbai. The poster featured a picture of Dharmendra from his younger days and read, ‘Celebration Of Life’.
Dharmendra had recently been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai due to health complications. Although he was discharged, reports claimed that he had been placed on a ventilator following breathing difficulties. Despite showing signs of improvement, the legendary actor passed away on November 24. His last rites were also held on the same day and were attended by several Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
He was seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Shahid Kapoor’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.
Dharmendra will also be seen posthumously in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis. The film, which also stars Agastya Nanda in the lead, will hit theatres on December 25, 2025.
