When Deepshikha Nagpal Called Salman Khan ‘Pitthu’ On The Sets Of Partner

Deepshikha Nagpal is widely regarded as a versatile and multifaceted actor, having built a decades-long career across Hindi films and television. She is known for her ability to play a variety of roles

in films like Koyla, Baadshah and Dillagi, among others. The actress garnered a significant fan following after her appearance in popular TV shows like Shaktimaan and Son Pari.

She even got the opportunity to share the screen space with actors like Salman Khan and Govinda in the 2007 romantic comedy film, Partner.

Deepshikha Nagpal On Working With Salman Khan

In a recent podcast with Hindi Rush, Deepshikha recalled fond memories of working with Salman during the making of Partner, and praised him for his generosity towards his co-actor Govinda.

She said, “Salman never made Govinda feel like his time was over. This was Salman’s badappan. He used to listen when Govinda advised him on how to handle a scene.”

Furthermore, the actress recalled a fun anecdote when Salman gifted her a jet ski. Deepshikha added, “I call Salman Pitthu because he emotionally supported me. When you go to the Maa Vaishno Devi shrine and are exhausted, Pitthu helps you. I was going through a divorce at the time, and he constantly lifted my spirits. He also praised me for being the Mrs India winner in front of everyone.”

Helmed by David Dhawan, the film also featured Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles and was declared a hit at the box office. Inspired by the 2005 American film Hitch, it follows the story of a love guru named Prem (played by Salman) who helps a client, Bhaskar Diwakar Chaudhary (played by Govinda), win the heart of his boss, Priya (played by Katrina Kaif), while navigating his own romantic relationship with a journalist, Naina (played by Lara).

Apart from Partner, both Salman and Govinda have worked in the 2007 romantic drama, Salaam-E-Ishq.

The actress was last seen in the TV show Ishq Jabariya, wherein she played a negative role. It went off-air in May this year.
