Singer Chinmayi Sripada has come out in support of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 contestant Ishit Bhatt, who was recently trolled for allegedly being rude towards the host, Amitabh Bachchan. On Monday, Sripada took

to her X handle and slammed netizens for spreading negativity around a child.

“An adult putting a tweet saying most hated *kid*. Adults here on Twitter have been one of the most lousy, foul mouthed, abusive lot; none of these voices said a thing when kids died due to a cough syrup,” she wrote.

“But yeah pick on a kid. Says a LOT about the ecosystem. This entire lot is picking on one over excited kid – what a horrible bunch of bullies these have raised themselves to be,” the singer added. Check it out here:

What Did Ishit Bhatt Do?

Ishit Bhatt, a Class 5 student from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, appeared as a KBC contestant opposite Big B recently. Throughout the episode, the young boy was seen behaving in a manner that many viewers have described as rude and disrespectful. He repeatedly interrupted Amitabh Bachchan, laughed while making cheeky remarks, and at one point, even said, “Big B uncle, you also make mistakes, don’t you?”

Despite the interruptions and inappropriate comments, Amitabh Bachchan remained calm and composed, smiling throughout and attempting to keep the tone of the exchange light-hearted.

A clip from the episode also went viral on social media, prompting strong backlash from users. Many were stunned by the child’s conduct and questioned the role of parental guidance. Some users expressed disbelief, noting that prior to the show, no one would have expected such behaviour from a child on national television.
