After defeating the Rajasthan Royals in an away fixture, the Delhi Capitals return home to host the 5-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Tuesday (May 5). Led by Axar Patel, DC snapped their three-match losing streak with a convincing seven-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals. Chasing a daunting 226, the Capitals got home with five balls to spare, underlining their batting firepower.

The top order has clicked into rhythm, with KL Rahul and Nitish Rana delivering consistently. The return of Pathum Nissanka has further boosted the lineup, with the Sri Lankan opener marking his comeback with a maiden IPL fifty.
For CSK, it has been a mixed campaign so far, with four wins and five losses.
However, the Men in Yellow come in with momentum after an eight-wicket win over the Mumbai Indians, chasing down 160 in just 18.1 overs.
A big positive has been Ruturaj Gaikwad rediscovering form. The skipper has struck back-to-back unbeaten fifties, lending stability at the top.
The two sides met earlier this season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, where CSK clinched a 23-run win, powered by a century from Sanju Samson.

Pitch Report – Arun Jaitley Stadium
The surface is expected to be batting-friendly. In four matches here this season, the average first-innings score has been around 178. The last game, however, was an outlier, with DC folding for 75 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who chased it down in just 6.3 overs. With short boundaries aiding stroke play, anything above 200 should be a competitive total.
