Rajasthan Royals star batter Yashasvi Jaiswal reached a hundred sixers in the IPL 2026 game against Mumbai Indians at the Basraspara Stadium in Guwahati, Assam on Tuesday in a game delayed by rain.
Jaiswal brought his seventeenth half-century and bookmarked the feat with his 100th six in the franchise league.
RR, who are yet unbeaten in the ongoing campaign of the money-rich T20 contest, were put to bat by MI skipper Hardik Pandya as the coin toss went the way of the visitors, following a prolonged delay in the start to the proceedings due to rain and wet outfield , as the Royals openers, Jaiswal and young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, came in all guns blazing in the truncated 11-over-a-side game, as a result of the showers.
The southpaw pairing put up
a 80-run stand in just 5 overs before Shardul Thakur removed the teenager for 39 runs off 14 deliveries, with a four and five maximums.
Dhruv Jurel fell shortly after to Allah Ghazanfar for just 2 off 3 deliveries before skipper Riyan Parag walked in to bat as Jaiswal took charge and raced to his fifty. Parag was scalped by Ghanzanfar for his second of the night as Tilak Verma held on to the catch offered up by the RR captain after having added 20 off 10 deliveries.
Jaiswal continued his onslaught as Windies maverick Shimron Hetmyer walked in to accompany the young southpaw at the other end. Jaiswal’s knock also took him past DC’s Sameer Rizvi in the race for the orange cap for the season’s highest run-getter.
Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 77 off just 32 balls to help Rajasthan finish with a brilliant total of 150 runs for the loss of three wickets, while Hetmyer too remained unbeaten on 6 off 7 deliveries.
