Vaibhav Sooryavanshi entered his name in the history books on Thursday (July 23) by becoming the youngest player in the world to score a half-century in international cricket.

Vaibhav, who is 15 years and 118 days old, broke the previous record held by Nepal batter Kushal Malla. Malla was 15 years and 340 days old when he scored a half-century (50 from 51 balls) against the United States in an ODI at Kirtipur on February 8, 2020.
Vaibhav opened the innings for India in the first T20I against Zimbabwe and scored 50 runs off 19 balls in the 126-run chase at the Harare Sports Club. He brought up his half-century in just 18 balls for the Shreyas Iyer-led side.
During his explosive knock, Vaibhav hammered four fours
and four sixes. He also shared a 45-run partnership off 21 balls for the second wicket with Ishan Kishan.
