Elon Musk Reacts To Photo Of INOX Group’s Siddharth Jain Posing With His Tesla Car

Siddharth Jain, the Executive Director of INOX Group, has become the proud owner of a Tesla electric car and is calling it a dream come true. Sharing the big news on social media, Jain said he had been waiting for this moment ever since he visited Tesla’s Fremont factory back in 2017. He even called it India Inc’s first Tesla and tagged Elon Musk in his post. What caught everyone’s attention was not just the sleek new car, but also the fact that Musk himself responded.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Jain wrote, “This one’s for you, Elon Musk. I am beyond thrilled to receive India Inc’s 1st Tesla. I have been waiting for this precious moment ever since I visited the Tesla Fremont factory in 2017. Dreams do come true.”

Jain proudly posted a picture with his brand new Tesla Y. The company’s CEO, Elon Musk, noticed the post and took a moment to respond. Musk kept it short and simple but made a big impact by writing “Congrats.” His reply added more buzz to Jain’s announcement and many called it a special moment.

Tesla Y Features, Price, Availability In India

The Tesla Model Y comes in two variants, Rear Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear Wheel Drive. The standard model offers a range of 500 kilometres, while the long-range version can travel up to 622 kilometres. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 5.9 seconds for the standard model and 5.6 seconds for the long-range variant. A 15-minute supercharge can add up to 238 kilometres for the standard model and 267 kilometres for the long-range model.

Seating is equipped with power recline, heating and ventilation in the first row, while the second row offers folding and heating. The interior includes footwell and ambient lighting, along with premium textiles. Tesla’s advanced suspension reduces noise, while laminated and tinted safety glass provides protection.

The vehicle also features eight exterior cameras and a hands-free power trunk. Additional comfort includes heated steering, air filtration, driver profiles and ultraviolet and infrared protection on all glass. More safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, collision warning and lane departure avoidance.

According to the official website, the on-road price for the Model Y in Mumbai starts at Rs 61 Lakh. The rear wheel drive version is priced at Rs 59.89 Lakh, while the long range rear wheel drive model is available for Rs 67.89 Lakh.

Tesla Launch In India

Tesla officially entered the Indian market on July 15 by opening its first showroom in Mumbai, located in Bandra Kurla Complex at the Maker Maxity Mall. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the facility and welcomed Tesla to India.
