Delhi Metro Update: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Thursday announced that 17 metro stations will remain closed on Friday until further notice as security arrangements continue in the national capital amid the ongoing Jantar Mantar student protest over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.
This is not the first time that Delhi Metro services have been affected during the protests. Over the past few days, the DMRC has repeatedly announced temporary closures of several stations and exit gates in central Delhi following security advisories from the authorities. While metro trains have continued to run on most routes, passengers have been unable to board or exit at notified stations whenever restrictions were imposed.
In its latest service
update, the DMRC said metro stations will remain closed from 7.30 am on July 24 until further instructions. However, interchange facilities will continue to be available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat, allowing commuters to switch lines without exiting the stations.
The stations that will remain closed are:
