Director Rajkumar Periasamy announced D55 on November 8 via social media platform X and revealed that Dhanush will headline the film. Now, fresh reports suggest that Sai Pallavi is being considered for the female
lead. The duo previously shared screen space in Maari 2 and fans still rave about their great chemistry, thus making their potential reunion all the more exciting.
According to Only Kollywood, sources suggest that the Gargi actress has been approached by the makers of the film, however, there has been no official confirmation. This news becomes even more exciting because, if confirmed, the project would also mark a reunion between the Amaran director-actor duo, Pallavi and Rajkumar.
