Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming political action drama Jana Nayagan has become one of the most anticipated films in recent times and possibly the superstar’s final silver screen outing. Directed by H Vinoth,
the film is slated for a grand theatrical release on January 9, 2026, just ahead of Pongal. Now, a new report has raised eyebrows across fan circles, suggesting that the makers have allegedly purchased the main theme music from Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari.
According to a report by Cine Corn, the producers of Jana Nayagan have allegedly paid a hefty Rs 3 crore to acquire the rights to use the main background theme from Bhagavanth Kesari. The report claims that the team intends to incorporate the signature track into key sequences of the political drama, giving the film a powerful and emotionally charged tone. The songs and the background score of the film is being composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
This information remains unconfirmed as neither the Jana Nayagan team nor the creators of Bhagavanth Kesari have issued an official statement. Fans and industry insiders are now waiting for a clarification, as such cross-film music acquisitions are relatively rare in Tamil cinema.

As per reports, the song will be released on Diwali and will be sung by Thalapathy Vijay himself. While no official announcement has been made yet, this move is expected to delight his massive fanbase, who have long admired the actor’s occasional ventures into playback singing.
