Raghava Lawrence’s much-awaited horror-comedy Kanchana 4 has once again become the talk of the town, this time due to reports suggesting that Nayanthara may be joining the cast in a significant role. While the makers have not made any official announcement, the latest buzz surrounding the project has already sparked excitement among fans.

According to 123 Telugu, the film will feature star heroine Nayanthara in a key role. Speculations are rife that she will appear in the film’s flashback portions.

Nayanthara’s work front

Nayanthara and Salman Khan’s collaboration with National Award-winning director Vamshi Paidipally has already generated immense buzz. While the makers have kept details about the project under wraps, updates about Nayanthara’s

role in the movie are generating excitement. It has been reported that an intense shoot is currently underway in Manali, and not only Salman but Nayanthara too will be seen in an action-packed avatar in the film. As per a source close to Bollywood Hungama, “Not just Salman Khan, even Nayanthara will be seen in an action-packed avatar. She will be performing her own stunts under the supervision of experts, and those who have seen her set piece are already going gaga over it.” Salman Khan’s fans did not get to see him on the big screen during Eid this year, but the actor is expected to return to his favourite festive window next year. The Vamshi Paidipally directorial is slated to release on Eid 2027 and is reportedly titled The Messengers.

The Kanchana film series, led by actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence, remains one of Tamil cinema’s most successful horror-comedy franchises. With four hit installments under its belt, the makers have now officially announced the fourth part — Kanchana 4 — featuring Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi as the female leads.

The announcement came via an official statement from the production team, confirming that Pooja Hegde will play the lead opposite Raghava Lawrence. Sharing the update on social media, the makers wrote, “Even in your deepest fear, she comes to tie up and faint you with her beauty. Welcome on board, the stunning diva Pooja Hegde to Kanchana 4! A heaven awaits you.”
