Travelling to Leh in Ladakh is a dream for many. The snow mountains, clear skies and quiet roads attract tourists from all over the country. But with this growing rush, some visitors forget basic public
manners. Littering and damaging natural spots have already become a big problem in hill areas and now another incident has sparked anger online. A recent video going viral shows a man from Haryana pasting a Gurjar sticker on a milestone rock at Fotula Top.
This spot stands at 13,479 feet and is known as the highest point on the Leh-Srinagar road. In the clip, the man looks proud of his act and even shows his Thar standing at the special point. As soon as the video spread online, many slammed the individual and called it shameful. Users demanded strict action from local authorities to protect such important and sensitive locations.
Leh–Ladakh’s Beauty Faces Tourist Carelessness
The video posted on X (Formerly Twitter) came with the caption, “He went to a height of 13,479 feet to show the world how big of an idiot he is. Why Thar owners so stupid?”

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Since he’s provided his face and number plate, request BRO India and Traffic Police Ladakh to take appropriate action for vandalising public property.”
One attacked the person directly, “Are these by default the lowest IQ people in India?? Everytime only they come up with things that are utterly stupid and destructive simultaneously.”
Another shared, “Enforcement is the biggest issue in India. Start issuing at least Rs. 50,000 fines or impound the vehicle for 6 months, you’ll see some difference. But unfortunately, police are corrupt to the core, chacha vidhayak hai type of underhand dealings, etc., rule the roost in this feudal republic.”
“Peak height. Zero class. Not a Thar owner problem. It’s a no respect, no civic sense problem. Don’t drag an entire group for one idiot chasing attention at 13,000 ft. Altitude went up. Brain stayed at sea level,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “I figure Thar owners just love a good challenge. That vehicle sure draws folks who enjoy turning heads, even if it means going way up high to do it. Can’t say I blame ‘em for having a little fun.”
One more added, “Everyone wants their fame. If not given, they will settle for the next best thing, attention.”
Past Traffic Fines
Surprisingly, some users even searched for the man’s car number and discovered that he already has 18 pending fines, which are nearly Rs 30,000.
