Apr 17 (PTI) Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur struck a gritty unbeaten 47 as India posted a competitive 157 for 7 against South Africa in the opening Women’s T20I here on Friday.
After a brisk start from opener Shafali Verma, who made 34 off 20 balls, Jemimah Rodrigues (36 off 29 balls) and Harmanpreet (47 not out) steadied the innings with a crucial 71-run stand for the third wicket.
Ayabonga Khaka was the most successful bowler for the hosts, taking three wickets for 16 runs.
