Rakul Preet Singh turned heads at the Pratham Sankalp promotional event for Ramayana in New Delhi on July 18, stepping out in a radiant yellow silk saree. The actor, who is set to portray Surpanakha in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited epic starring Ranbir Kapoor, embraced timeless elegance with a contemporary twist.
What Rakul Preet Singh Wore To The Ramayana Event
Rakul chose a vibrant yellow silk saree from Kankatala, featuring delicate silver checks woven across the fabric that lent it a subtle sheen. A broad gold zari border with intricate woven detailing elevated the classic drape without making it feel overly festive.
She styled the six yards in a neat, traditional drape with sharply defined pleats, while the pallu was left open over one shoulder
to showcase the saree’s rich border and craftsmanship. The cheerful yellow hue added a fresh, elegant touch that was perfect for the daytime event.
Adding a modern edge to the ensemble was a strapless gold blouse adorned with intricate floral embroidery in metallic threadwork. Designed with a sweetheart neckline, the fitted blouse beautifully highlighted her statement jewellery while complementing the saree rather than overpowering it. The pairing of bright yellow silk with muted gold embroidery created a refined and sophisticated colour palette.
Rakul completed the look with exquisite jewellery from Shri Paramani Jewels. The standout piece was a layered kundan choker featuring multiple rows of closely set stones finished with delicate pearl drops. She paired it with matching floral stud earrings and a pearl-and-stone-studded kamarbandh accented by a floral motif at the centre.
Her accessories were equally striking, including stacked gold and pearl bangles along with floral statement rings on both hands that echoed the intricate design of her jewellery.
For makeup, artist Salim Sayed opted for a fresh, luminous look. Rakul wore a glowing complexion with warm golden undertones, soft brown eyeshadow, defined eyeliner, mascara-coated lashes and naturally flushed peach cheeks. Well-groomed brows and a nude-brown lipstick completed the understated glam.
Hair stylist Aliya Shaik finished the look with a centre-parted hairstyle styled into soft waves gathered in a low ponytail. Loose face-framing strands added an effortless charm to the polished ensemble.
With her vibrant silk saree, contemporary blouse and timeless kundan jewellery, Rakul Preet Singh struck the perfect balance between traditional elegance and modern sophistication at the Ramayana promotional event.
