Ram Charan Shares Big Update On Sports Drama Peddi Amid Postponement Rumours

Amid growing speculation about delays, actor Ram Charan has shared a big update about the much-awaited sports drama Peddi. He informed that the only song is left for the shoot. Recently, it was reported that Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur will be coming together for the song.

Ram Charan was recently seen promoting Raakaasaa, where he was seen talking about Peddi. He confirmed that the film is progressing as planned and the talkie portions are completed. He revealed that only one song remains to be shot. He also told the team, “Promote your film well, Peddi won’t be late.” His comments came amid speculation that Peddi might be delayed.

However, nothing is confirmed but the news has surely left fans excited.

Peddi Postponed Due To Incomplete Shoot?

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who made his Tollywood debut with the 2021 hit Uppena, Peddi stars Ram Charan along with Janhvi Kapoor, Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma. According to 123Telugu, a few key portions of the Ram Charan starrer are yet to be shot, and with the remaining schedule, it looks tough for the makers to release the film on April 30. If these reports about the film’s postponement are true, this will be the third time the release has been pushed, first from March 27, 2026, to April 30, and now potentially beyond.

Recently, it was reported that Ram Charan sustained an eye injury while filming the sports drama. Ram’s team confirmed the news, and while speaking to HT, a source said, “Ram Charan was shooting for an action episode yesterday (Tuesday) and was injured. He had to get four sutures for it. He was injured above his eye, not his eye, like some seem to believe. His eye is fine. He is back to work as it’s a minor injury, and there’s nothing to worry about.”

SKN Issues Clarification Over Ram Charan’s Peddi Release Date

In the clarification video, producer SKN explained that people at the event kept asking him when Chennai Love Story would release. At that point, the film’s writer and co-producer Sai Rajesh informed him that he had seen tweets speculating about a possible new release date for Peddi. Sai Rajesh advised him not to reveal the Chennai Love Story date until the Peddi team made an official announcement. SKN stated that, amid the crowd’s loud cheering, he misunderstood the situation and wrongly assumed that the Peddi makers had already confirmed June 26 as the new date.
