Rosa once detailed how she met Saif and said, as quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, “We met on a show when he was in Kenya, and love just happened to us. Well, slowly, I got to know many things. I had no idea he was married when I met him. And when I came to India, he was living somewhere else and was divorced. It was strange to know that he was married with kids, but the children are amazing. God bless them.”
Was Kareena Responsible For Their Breakup?
While Saif was dating Rosa, he also met Kareena for a photoshoot. As per photographer Dabboo Ratnani, the two actors had undeniable chemistry, which even made Rosa nervous. He told Siddharth Kannan in an earlier chat, “Saif’s then-girlfriend Rosa was very upset watching the shoot. The chemistry between Saif and Kareena was sizzling. She didn’t take it well.” Many assumed that Kareena was the reason behind Saif and Rosa’s split.
Rosa also later opened up about her breakup with the Bollywood star and said, as per Bollywood Shaadis, “I asked myself what, why and how things happened. But a person grows and realises things even though they are shocking. Plus, you don’t know what other people are thinking or doing. Just one person can’t do that because the effort has to be from both sides. It takes two people to actually make something work. Otherwise, it’s like being on the same boat where one person wants to go right, and the other person wants to go left.”
While rumours were rife about Kareena’s involvement in Saif and Rosa’s relationship, the actor nawab quashed all speculation and said that he and the model were already broken up when he fell for the actress. Saif and Kareena fell in love while shooting Tashan. They dated for 5 years before getting married on October 16, 2012.
