In July 2024, Chadha welcomed her first child – a baby girl – with Ali Fazal. Recently, the actor posted a note along with her daughter’s photo on her social media. Taking to her Instagram handle, she discussed the emotional, physical, and professional hurdles she has faced since becoming a mother, as well as her return to work after nearly two years away.

“On Sunday, I went back to work after nearly 2 years. As much as I would have liked to get back sooner, my body, my mind wasn’t ready at all. But other than these tangible issues, I have had to deal with deep professional betrayals from close quarters. I have learnt that in the industry, a rare few have ethics and courage,” she said.
