The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will be releasing the provisional answer key for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 today, December 10, 2025, at 5 PM. Candidates who appeared for the exam held on December 7, 2025, can access and download the answer key from the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in, once out. A total of 96.83 per cent of undergraduate applicants and 92.45 per cent of postgraduate applicants appeared for the test.
Any objections to the answer key can be submitted by 5 PM on December 12, accompanied by a fee of Rs 1000. Candidates will also be able to use these resources along with the marking scheme to estimate their potential scores. According to the marking scheme, each correct answer awards one
mark, while 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect response.
The official notice states: “The Consortium will release the Provisional Answer Key on its official website on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, at 5:00 PM. Candidates who wish to raise objections regarding the questions or the provisional answer key(s) may do so through the designated portal created for this purpose. The objection submission portal will open at 5:00 PM on 10th December 2025 and will close automatically at 5:00 PM on 12th December 2025.”
CLAT 2026 Provisional Answer Key: How To Raise Objection?
Step 1: Visit the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on CLAT 2026.
Step 3: Click on the answer key link.
Step 4: Check and download the answer key.
Step 5: Raise objections by logging in to your CLAT account.
Step 6: Upload supporting documents and click on the ‘Submit Objection’ button.
Step 7: Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
For undergraduate CLAT 2026 admission, one must have scored at least 45 per cent in your Class 12 examination. SC and ST category candidates have a lower threshold of 40 per cent. For postgraduate CLAT admission, you should have an LLB degree with a minimum of 50 per cent marks, with a relaxation of 5 per cent for SC and ST category candidates.
