The gazette notification for the BMC Ward No. 215 (D Ward) was issued on December 15, 2025 (Monday), the last date of scrutiny of nominations was December 31, 2025 (Wednesday) and the last date of withdrawal of nominations was January 2, 2026 (Friday). This ward voted on Thursday, January 15, 2026 and the counting of votes is happening on Friday, January 16, 2026.

The extent of the ward as published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette is as follows: A line starting from the junction of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Marg (Tardeo Road) and Keshavrao Khadye Marg (Clerk Road) at Vatsalabai Desai Chowk and running Eastwards along the southside of Keshavrao Khadye Marg upto its junction with Western Railway Lines; thence southwards along the West side of Western Railway Lines upto its junction with Maulana Shaukatali Road (Grant Road) at Frere Bridge; thence westwards along the northside of Maulana Shaukatali Road upto its junction with Javji Dadaji Marg at Nana Chowk; thence northwards along the eastside of Javji Dadaji Road and Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Road (Tardeo Road) upto its junction with Keshavro Khadye Marg ..……the starting point. In this ward major location / colony / Cities are Welington Sports Club, R.T.O. Chikalwadi, Bhatia Hospital, Tulsiwadi, Bane Compound, Talmiki Wadi. North – Ward No. 197 (Administrative Boundary of G/S Ward) East – Ward No. 212 & 216 (Western Railway Lines) South – Ward No. 217 (Maulana Shaukat Ali Road) West – Ward No. 214 (Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Marg.)

PREVIOUS BMC ELECTION RESULT

The last Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections were held on February 21, 2017, in which Shiv Sena was the single largest party with 84 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party won 82 seats. Indian National Congress secured 31 seats, Nationalist Congress Party won nine, and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena won seven seats. Other parties included Samajwadi Party, which won six seats; the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen won two seats and the Akhil Bhartiya Sena won a single seat. Five Independent candidates also won seats in the election.
