Indian captain KL Rahul won the toss in the third ODI against South Africa on Saturday, December 6, and opted to field first. After the coin landed in India’s favour at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, Rahul came up with an epic celebration, the clip of which is now going viral on the internet.
Rahul’s celebration was justified because it was after more than two years that India managed to win a toss in an ODI match. The last time a coin landed in India’s favour was on November 15, 2023, against New Zealand in Mumbai.
In addition to Rahul’s celebration, South African skipper Temba Bavuma’s reaction is also going viral on the internet.

Tilak replaces Sundar
For the series decider, India have made one change to their playing XI. Left-handed batter Tilak Varma is included in the side in place of spin-bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar. Sundar failed to impress with his batting in the first couple of matches and was used only for three overs in Ranchi and four overs in Raipur.
On the other hand, South Africa have made a couple of changes to their playing XI. In place of injured Tony De Zorzi and Nandre Burger, Ryan Rickelton and Ottneil Baartman are playing for the Proteas in the series decider. De Zorzi and Burger suffered hamstring injuries in the second ODI on December 3, which is why they were not available for selection in the match at Vizag.
