Actor Vikrant Massey was rumoured to be a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The 12th Fail star was reportedly playing the role of Meghanad in the film, but after the news came in that Raghav Juyal has come on board for the mythological drama, many media houses reported that the latter had replaced Massey in the film. Reacting to these reports, Vikrant posted a story claiming he was never part of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, but later deleted it for unknown reasons.
Vikrant Massey reacts to the report of Raghav Juyal replacing him
Yesterday, Variety India reported that Raghav Juyal has come on board and is set to ace the role of Meghanad (also called Indrajit), the eldest son of Ravana and crown prince of Lanka. Following this report, another leading
portal claimed that Raghav had replaced Massey in Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus. Unhappy with this report, the 12th Fail actor took to his Instagram story to put the record straight.
Taking to his Instagram, Vikrant put out a story on February 7 and shared, “OK. To put things to rest, I was never a part of this movie. Am not, never was. Such irresponsible media coverage from ‘respectable’ media houses is kinda appalling. Nonetheless, wishing everyone on Ramayana all the very best. Will surely buy a ticket and watch it in cinemas.”
While this story of the actor gained enough coverage, he later deleted it for unknown reasons.
