He shared a sweet shoutout for his girlfriend. This comes just months after the Wolverine actor’s divorce was finalised with his ex-wife, Deborra Lee Furness, with whom he was married for nearly three decades.
Taking to his Instagram account on Wednesday, November 26, Hugh shared a picture and a video of Sutton for the first time since the two began their relationship. The 50-year-old actress and singer was performing at New York City’s Cafe Carlyle, wearing a sequinned green dress.

In the picture, Sutton was seen laughing at
something as she stood on stage with a band performing behind her, when Hugh captured her in a candid moment. In the clip, she was seen cheerfully waving at the Logan actor after she spotted him in the crowd. “@suttonlenore performing during the holidays at @cafecarlyle … now that’s an iconic NYC night! And, truly magical,” the 57-year-old actor wrote in his post.
Hugh’s post comes almost a month after the Hollywood superstar and his Tony Award-winning partner made their first red carpet appearance as a couple after nearly a year of going public with their romance. On October 26, the couple graced the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the actor’s latest film, Song Sung Blue.
The X-Men actor looked dashing in a black suit and tie, which he paired with a crisp white shirt. Sutton, on the other hand, looked elegant in a black satin slip dress which featured a deep plunging neckline and spaghetti straps. The couple was beaming with joy as they posed in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
