After warming the bench for six matches in a row, Rinku Singh got a chance to make his debut in the Asia Cup for Team India on Sunday, September 28, and in the all-important final against Pakistan, which
was played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, he made his presence felt by scoring the winning runs.
On the fourth ball of the 20th over of the 147-run chase, Rinku scored a four down the ground off Haris Rauf’s bowling to seal India’s win.

The four that sealed India’s Asia Cup 2025 title win helped Rinku finish the tournament with a strike rate of 400.
A total of 89 players from eight teams faced at least one ball in the Asia Cup 2025, but none of them managed to beat Rinku in terms of batting strike rate. The next best batter in terms of strike rate was Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai. Omarzai played three matches for Afghanistan in the 2025 Asia Cup and scored 89 runs with a strike rate of 217.07.
India’s Abhishek Sharma finished the Asia Cup 2025 with a strike rate of 200.00.

Rinku’s manifestation
Rinku had manifested hitting the winnings runs in the Asia Cup and despite playing just one ball in the entire tournament, the Indian finisher incredibly managed to do that on Sunday night.
“Nothing else matters. This one ball matters. One was needed. I hit it for a four. Everyone knows I am a finisher. Team won and I am really happy,” said an elated Rinku after an egde of the seat final.
His teammates too were jubilant following the five wicket win. India vice-captain Shubman Gill said on Sunday that winning the Asia Cup while remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament was “pretty amazing.”
“Pretty amazing. The whole tournament, we remained unbeaten, it feels pretty amazing to be in this position,” Gill said after the match to host broadcasters.
