Muzaffarnagar (UP), Sep 19 (PTI) Two people, including a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, were killed after their car collided with a parked truck on the Khatima-Panipat highway here, police said on Saturday.
The accident took place late Friday night near Nedahedi cut under the Kotwali police station area, Additional Superintendent of Police Siddharth Mishra said.
The deceased were identified as RPF constable Dinesh (35) and his friend Satish (28), he said.
The two were returning to Delhi from Haridwar when their car rammed into the rear of the parked truck, which badly damaged the vehicle, the officer said.
Dinesh was posted in Baramulla and had come to Delhi on leave, police said.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem and an investigation
is underway, Mishra said.
Police are also searching for the truck’s owner, he said. PTI COR CDN MDO MDO
