Haq’s Storyline

Shazia Bano’s world falls apart when her husband, Abbas, abandons her and their three children after marrying a second time. Initially, Abbas agrees to pay monthly maintenance for their children, but when he stops, Bano takes the bold step of going to court.
Although Abbas tries all means to silence her by pronouncing triple talaq, it later grows from Bano’s personal struggle into a national debate about faith, women’s rights and justice.
Besides the lead duo, the film also stars Sheeba Chaddha, Aseem Hattangady, DJ Henaary, Danish Husain, Rahul Mittra and Vartika Singh in key roles.
