A viral video of a man unloading dozens of plants from a subway train has left social media users puzzled, with many being curious about the backstory of, ‘How did he load them all? Where is he taking them? How will he carry them all?’
The clip, widely shared on X, appears to be a New York City subway station with a man stepping off the train and then going back forth taking potted plants out of the coach, placing them on the platform. The volume of greenery, ranging from small pots to larger plants — quickly draws attention from fellow commuters and train passengers.
The exact identity of the man and the location of the incident have not been independently confirmed. The video does not provide additional context on where the plants were brought
from or where they were being taken.
A report by the New York Post described a vendor known as the “Plant Man,” who carries large numbers of plants on trains and sells them directly to commuters during rides or on platforms.
The visuals brought out a flurry of confused reactions online, with users trying to make sense of the situation. “What’s the backstory?” one person asked, while another wrote, “How did he carry all those in tho fr.”
Some users viewed it through a practical lens. “Smart, gas prices are expensive, it will get worse,” one comment read. Another joked, “Maybe his hydro bill so high that it was cheaper this way by riding the train to give his plants a daily dose of light.”
Others linked it to rising costs of services. “When you’re pissed off at moving companies prices,” one user wrote.
The video continues to circulate widely, with viewers reacting to the unusual sight of a subway coach being used to transport what appeared to be an entire collection of plants.
