Actor Sara Arjun, who recently earned nationwide recognition with Aditya Dhar’s spy-actioner Dhurandhar, is winning hearts all over again — this time through a resurfaced childhood video. Following the film’s OTT release, fans stumbled upon an old clip of a six-year-old Sara talking about her co-star Vikram, whom she adorably refers to as “Vikram appa.”
While Dhurandhar introduced Sara to a wider Hindi-speaking audience, she has long been a familiar face in Tamil and Telugu cinema. From Deiva Thirumagal to Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan films, Sara’s journey as a performer has been closely followed by fans — many of whom were instantly charmed by the throwback clip now doing the rounds online.
When Sara Arjun spoke about ‘Vikram appa’
The video, originally posted by Indiaglitz in 2011,
features a young Sara explaining the story of Deiva Thirumagal with remarkable clarity and emotional depth. In the film, Vikram plays an intellectually challenged man fighting a legal battle to retain custody of his daughter, portrayed by Sara.
In the clip, Sara affectionately calls Vikram “appa” (father) and describes how her character looks after him in the film. She even acts out moments of sadness, explaining how upset her character feels when separated from her appa — a performance that feels instinctive rather than rehearsed. Sara also refers to her co-star Anushka Shetty as “didi” (elder sister), adding to the video’s irresistible charm.
The clip has resurfaced at a time when fans are revisiting Sara’s early performances, making it a nostalgic reminder of her natural screen presence from a very young age.
Fans can’t stop gushing over baby Sara
The video quickly found its way to X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, where fans couldn’t contain their excitement. Sharing the clip, one fan wrote, “#Dhurandhar baby Sara Arjun.” Another commented, “She’s so talented and beautiful,” while several others simply wrote, “Aww, so cute.”
Many viewers were particularly struck by her maturity and understanding of the story at such a young age. “Peak understanding in young age,” wrote one X user. “Maturity at such a young age, btw cuteheart,” added another. Across platforms, the consensus was unanimous — the video was equal parts impressive and heart-melting.
Sara Arjun, daughter of actor Raj Arjun, began her career early, shooting her first commercial at just one-and-a-half years old. After appearing in numerous advertisements, she made her acting debut in the Hindi film 404. However, it was Deiva Thirumagal that made her a household name.
She went on to star in films such as Ek Thi Daayan, Jai Ho, Chithirayil Nilachoru and Saivam. After playing young Nandini in the Ponniyin Selvan films, Sara returned to Hindi cinema with Dhurandhar opposite Ranveer Singh. She will next be seen in the Telugu films Euphoria and Dhurandhar 2.
